Sunday Youth Group

Sunday Youth Group is an exciting and vibrant part of Killinchy Presbyterian Church. Started some 15 years, as a way of encouraging young people to keep coming to Church, it caters for those attending post-primary school.

SYG’s aim is to equip young people in how to live each day for Christ by providing a safe place where they can come, be themselves and at the same time discover more about Jesus.  While Christian based and meeting mainly on a Sunday morning, during the Service, there is also a strong social aspect to the group with regular activities and outings.

Leadership and responsibility within the group is shared by some of the older members. Julie and Michelle Murray, Emma Moreland, Joanne Pollock, Karen Wilson, Peter Gray and James Bogie are friendly, enthusiastic, great fun and have excellent ideas for the group.

It is amazing how gifted members of SYG are with a wide range of dancers, musicians, singers, dramatists, artists, speakers and much more besides. This talent and creativity is now being used to involve the young people in many aspects of worship with the Church especially the morning service.

As well as meeting each Sunday there are various activities and outings arranged every month or so. These include games nights in the hall, trips to Ulster Rugby, Belfast Giants, Cinema, Dundonald Ice-Bowl, Odyssey Arena, Eddie Irvine Karting and much much more.

So if you are between 11 and 18, looking for friendship, fun and fulfilment then please get in touch.
